Blind.

It ripples through the air,
around the trees, tall and dark;
weeds in this tide pool
casting shadows and swirling
concealing their depth.

I wade into the water
letting it seduce me
feeling it in my lungs, biting
and warm, it burns and melts
until I am whole.

Gliding faster into the dark
I let the light wash through me
leading blind
into the night.

Never.

Mirrored.
